From my extensive experience as a resident doctor (14 yrs) & my limited experience as a consultant mentor/ES/CS/dTPD (5 yrs), fundamentally what resident doctors want is to feel like someone gives a shit about them and their training. Otherwise it’s a bleak & dark place…
