Heading to the Island of Jersey with Dr Susan Turnbull! We are discussing a very interesting topic: How can large countries benefit from collaboration in the Digital Health field with smaller states? #EPH2019 #DHISSEPH

Latest data from ONS 30 mins ago ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulati… Just drawn this extraordinary, and shocking, graph. Why the massive rise in non-covid deaths? How much is judgement of registering doctor? How much is collateral damage of lockdown???

This is the most important trial result for COVID-19 so far. Significiant reduction in mortality in those requiring oxygen or ventilation from a widely available, safe and well known drug. Many thanks to those who took part and made it happen. It will save lives around the world.

Took an overdue week off to visit my family in Jersey who I haven't seen in 9 months. Incredible operation by Government of Jersey and Jersey Airport to test all arrivals and confirm a (negative) test in under 24hrs. Small island, but surely a world class system? 👏 Great to be back. #Jersey

Jonathan Van Tam lays the situation out clearly. We have through the extraordinary efforts of the whole population got COVID rates right down. They are now rising again especially in those aged 17 to 29. If we stop social distancing COVID comes back. We all need to protect others

I’ve had people decline the Covid vaccine because someone they know felt unwell after theirs It’s ENTIRELY normal to get a temp, headache, sore arm or feel a bit run down after the vaccine: it’s your immune system responding well to it It’s SO MUCH better than getting Covid
