The postman brought my copy of a great book of moving photographs by Dan Nelken dan nelken & oral histories by Beatrice Lamwaka . The book is titled “Head Strong: The Women of Rural Uganda.” I wrote the 7-paged Foreword. Fingering the 116 pages is nostalgic. I’m transported home.
