🚨I wrote about how individualism is still sabotaging the pandemic response, and how it has been accentuated by vaccinations & the CDC’s recent guidance. Our collective problem still exists & has been even more heavily shifted onto the most vulnerable. 1/ theatlantic.com/health/archive…

As I said months ago, just about all doctors (96%+) get vaccinated. They have a solid understanding of the science behind the vaccines and many were deeply impacted by caring for Covid patients who became very ill or died. bit.ly/3goFMi4

Concerned about the Delta variant? Want to know how to protect yourself? Here's my approach 1 Get yourself fully vaccinated 2 Hang out with other fully vaccinated people 3 For kids<12 who can't get the shot, make sure everyone around them vaccinated Vaccines > Delta variant

Safety is the heart of CDC’s updated Guidance for #COVID19 Prevention in K-12 Schools. Schools should be last to close, first to open safely. School admins: Create policies that consider community transmission rates, local vaccine coverage rates & others. bit.ly/39RLWS8

The number of reported deaths from Covid in the US will surpass the toll of the 1918 flu pandemic this month. We cannot become hardened to the continuing, and largely preventable, tragedy.

I have yet to meet someone whose mental health hasn't been put through the ringer during the pandemic. The Louisville Health Department shared these numbers during this morning's press call, and I want to pass them along for whoever might need them. 🧵⬇️
