My heart sank when I saw the latest in Health Service Journal re cutting NHS admin staff. Clinical staff are already gap filling for them. Healthcare is complex and needs a skilled team of workers including admin workers.

Not dissimilar to hospital bed numbers during this time frame… …unmatched by population, patient complexity, public expectations. We can do better. So could Quality Street.

This is very sad. Pippa was my first consultant as a Registrar in Geriatric Medicine Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) in Salford as I did my stroke job. Kind, clever, funny, human. I enjoyed our rounds, clinics and MDTs & learnt so much. She also truly revolutionised stroke care in Mcr.
