Beware of the latest misinformation being peddled 🤦‍♂️ No, scientists have NOT replaced 2 metre air temperature readings with ground temperature readings so that new records will be broken.

Good news: Devon County Council will again grit and treat cycleways and footways around Exeter this winter, following the positive response to their trial last winter. ❄️

Approaching 1.5°C: how will we know we’ve reached this crucial warming mark? The Paris Agreement does not define "temperature rise", so recognition of 1.5°C being reached may be delayed In @nature we propose the Current Global Warming Level metric nature.com/articles/d4158…

At #COP28 there is a plant based food park. Great to see people get together to enjoy delicious #plantbased food. The menu at the place I went to had CO2 emissions and water used per dish to help you decide (sorry didn’t take a pic…was obviously too hungry!) #ClimateAction

I get to work with some really great people Met Office. Congratulations to Peter Stott on your MBE and thank you for being so willing to support others at the Met Office who want to learn about communicating climate change effectively.

We just want to ride our bikes on safe cycle infrastructure and not have abuse shouted at us/ get driven at by people in cars. Is that too much to ask? #ActiveTravel #SafeCycle #BikeIsBest

As we would expect in an El Niño year, not only global T rising faster, but CO2 itself rises faster. While the ENSO effect is temporary, the ongoing build up from (increasing) fossil fuels results in yet more global warming and impacts
