RTC at Dunston alongside colleagues from Chesterfield Station. One female extricated from the vehicle and on her way to The Northern General via helicopter. We wish her a speedy recovery.

There was a significant wildfire on the moors above Dronfield in the week, so we've been out and about putting up some signs to reinforce the message: 🚫 NO BBQS 🔥 NO CAMPFIRES 🚭 EXTINGUISH CIGARETTES CORRECTLY 🚮 DISPOSE OF WASTE CORRECTLY, ESPECIALLY GLASS.

Following an incident we attended yesterday evening at Linacre Res, we would like to remind everyone to stay out of the water. On this occasion, the young person was quickly located and helped to safety. As inviting as it may look, open water is unsafe to enter. #BeWaterAware

"You can't park there, mate..." Thankfully nobody was hurt and there is no structural damage to the bridge or railway line, both of which reopened at around 0200 this morning. However, it's definitely a reminder to pay attention to low bridge warnings!

We enjoyed our visit to Dronfield Infant School this morning. 🚒👩‍🚒👨‍🚒 Lots of great questions answered. Our favorite question of the day was on the back of a discussion about our fitness tests: "Do you only have healthy snacks at the fire station?" Of course. 🤥🍪🍰

📸 Some great photos from Long Eaton Fire and Dronfield Fire Station of recent training exercises! Our firefighters train regularly to develop their skills and ensure they're prepared to respond when real life incidents occur 🚒
