Another note on the (very necessary) BRCA: DeFi does not have a money laundering problem that BRCA would get in the way of fighting... There is no incentive for bad actors to use transparent, fully onchain systems because you can't use them to launder (i.e. obscure the source of)

i was inspired by Aerodrome's buyback system so started implementing a tool for doing market aware buybacks MAB buys back tokens automatically, adjusting speed and size based on whether the market is trending, ranging, or volatile. github.com/decanus/mab

It would appear that the professional airdrop sybil operations are turning their eyes towards Base. Someone should let our fren below know their 1,000+ EIP-1167 wallet proxies on Uni are known to Base. If there is a $BASE airdrop one day -- let's make it a fair one!

Criminal investigation and prosecution should not be used as a substitute for clear rules. But for years, software devs faced uncertainty and fear of investigation for publishing code. Today, Congress took a step toward fixing that.

"CFTC Chair Mike Selig says the US plans to approve crypto perpetual futures within the next month." I think this is bullish Coinbase 🛡️ and other industry players with CFTC licenses and bearish Hyperliquid ... Part of providing a regulated path is cracking down on companies

Context behind Aave having gimmicky swap widgets on their UI in the first place is that Labs needed to shoehorn in shitty features in search of revenue streams that could dodge tokenholders and go straight to Labs (Labs has no $, AAVE supply was jeeted last cycle for mansions)

“most people are more afraid of adding a heavily audited, fairly simple, deterministic module to a SAFE than they are of the infinite offchain managerial blackbox discretion of an unlicensed hedge fund” 💯. Sad state of affairs.

It's a bit of an odd release from the SEC. Mixes requirements that have to do with whether or not you are a broker-dealer with conduct requirements that the SEC/FINRA would normally place on broker-dealers. If a wallet isn't a B-D then why are the policies and disclosures

This is why we built dRPC // AI-powered RPC Infrastructure. The $250M lesson from KelpDAO and LayerZero: response from a single RPC endpoint is a single point of failure, even if it's your own RPC or your loadbalancer endpoint. Any protocol moving user funds should be running quorum across independent

Continually grateful to DeFi Education Fund for all of the work they do to support and protect the DeFi community. Dromos was proud to sign onto this letter asking for rulemaking from the SEC.
