Dear Fellows! Be an Edvocate for physical therapy! Stand firm on standards of care, defend our profession against unfair criticism, and highlight the crucial role of PT in recovery and wellness. Let's educate others and elevate the impact we make every day! #AdvocateForPT

Dear Young DPTs, It's okay to make mistakes and not always have all the answers. The mentor you follow has gone through this stage, and you will eventually reach the point where your mentor is now. This requires consistency, so try your best to become a better clinician.

As a student of physical therapy, I have come to the conclusion that, after earning a DPT, MSPT, multiple post-graduate certs, and almost 4 years of experience in various cities and hospitals, a PT is a student forever. The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

The origin of modern Physical therapy dates back to World War I, where the primary goal of PT was to return injured soldiers and other affected individuals to their ADLs. Dear PTs, let's return to our roots and embrace our role as movement experts, as we are known for.

The main reason many DPTs are jobless is the institutes and their faculty. No institute provides a clear roadmap for young grads on what to do after graduation, No Professors guide students on how to start a private clinic. When profit becomes the priority, this is what happens.

Hello New Grads DPTs! Congrats, Welcome to the practical World. Start by seeking a training position in a teaching hospital, even unpaid. Then, think about starting your own practice nearby. Avoid low paying jobs, Be a boss rather than living in the "Jail of Boss" (JOB).

If you remember this and If you’ve ever cleaned the ball on this, your body might need a little maintenance too. Visit your physiotherapist.

If your physiotherapy session involves 10 minutes on TENS/ESTIM, heating pads, ultrasound, cupping, Theragun, STM, or manual therapy, but lacks pain education, exercise guidance, and a clear explanation of your problem and treatment plan, it’s time to change your physiotherapist

I had a dream last night where I was convincing PTs that MFR is pseudoscience, cupping isn’t their job, and that US, IR, Theragun, icing, IASTM, IFC, and SWD are only for short-term relief. I explained that MT isn’t everything, and posture isn’t always to blame. Then I woke up.

If your surgeon says your only options for back pain (disc issues, sciatica) are meds, injections, or surgery, find a new one! There are other effective treatments besides invasive ways. The first line of treatment should always be conservative management, with PT tried first.

When I'm dealing with frozen shoulder. I remember 'Codman's quote' about frozen shoulder: 'Difficult to define, difficult to treat, and difficult to explain.' It's multifactorial, not just capsulitis. Every patient is different, and everyone needs a personalized treatment plan.

Don't stick to one intervention. A Physiotherapist has a toolbox full of interventions, concepts, and approaches. i.e, McKenzie approach may work dramatically for the back pain of Patient A but may not work for Patient B. Select another tool from the box, don’t rely on just one

Many times, our patients tell us they want their children to become physiotherapists after experiencing the care and dedication we put into our work, it makes my day. A PT should be an advocate for our profession, a prof that not only helps people but also cares deeply for them.

PNF patterns: diagonal, spiral, or combined, show that movement may begin with limitations, but with the right approach, it leads to strength, coordination, and independence. Every pattern is a path to potential. As your pts improve, so does your career. Good things take time.
