The 8th Meeting of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) kicked off in Accra, Ghana today 28 January 2022 and will run for 2 days.

The overall objective of the Meeting is to review progress in the AfCFTA negotiations on Trade & Phase 2 Issues (Competition Policy, Intellectual Property Rights & Competition Policy), & to provide directives on steps towards the start of preferential trading under the AfCFTA.

The Zimbabwean delegation is Headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Dr David Musabayana. He is accompanied by Officials from the Ministry.
