NEW Bad Bunny just posted this video to his Instagram account which has 45 million followers. The caption on the post is “Garbage.” It is basically a love letter to Puerto Rico and about having pride in being Puerto Rican. It features footage of extraordinary Puerto Ricans

Every #physicianscientist trainee should know the importance of #funding for research. It's central to the #research we do. Reminder that APSA members have access to our NIH #GrantWriting Hub and our database of external funding opportunities! physicianscientists.org/page/membershi…

This will be the first of 6 essays I wrote about RFK Jr. In this first piece, I describe a conversation I had with him about 20 years ago, which marked the beginning of his anti-vaccine activism. Is this the man we want to be in charge of our health? My Conversation with Robert

NIH withdrew several funding opportunities related to diversity. They’re not going to review the ones already in, and apparently they’re not going to pay the ones that have just been awarded.

🚨Apparently all NIH Study Sections have been suspended indefinitely. For those who don’t know, this means there won’t be any review of grants submitted to NIH Depending on how long this goes on for, this could lead to an interruption in billions in research funding.

Current situation for scientists. Trump’s blanket order to stop communication between institutions like NIH and the public has resulted in a complete halt of grant reviews, grant funding decisions. Fun.

first they came for DEI, then they came for NIH, next… women in the workplace? can someone remind me why I keep trying to have a career that the universe doesn’t want me to have?

Before the holidays I was so burnt out I wanted to quit, now I’m so defeated I want to quit. Being a hispanic woman physician scientist today is more exhausting than ever. I thought I was “curada de espanto” but turns out things can get worse.

Thrilled to share my paper, Tunneling CARs, is now out on biorxiv! CAR T therapy has been ineffective against bulky tumors, in part because of the low infiltration of T cells. Here we show that GD2.CAR T cells are uniquely infiltration-resistant.

• Men interrupt women in professional settings 33% more often than they do men. • Women in STEM need a PhD to be perceived to be as competent as a man with a bachelors in the same field. Happy International Women’s Day.

Cursing is rarely a symbol of low class. It's often a mark of high authenticity. Evidence: Swearing predicts higher rates of honesty and integrity. It signals a willingness to prize candor over courtesy. A little profanity shows that you're being real and you do give a damn.
