Today is the 8th Annual Start by Believing Day! Start by Believing Day is an opportunity for communities around the world to voice support for survivors. In 2015, Representative Angela Romero sponsored a resolution to declare the first annual Start by Believing in Utah.

Since then, other states and communities have adopted similar resolutions. Today Representative Romero, Liliana Olvera-Arbon, the Executive Director of UCASA, and Dr. Julie Valentine held a press conference recognizing Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Start by Believing Day.
