This is amazing news! I’ve loved how inventive and engaging the exhibits have been so far and I’m really pleased the Migration Museum has found a permanent home.

An excellent essay in ⁦Byline Times⁩ on the politics of race and identity in Britain by ⁦Hardeep Matharu⁩ which notes that ‘[w]e can have multiple, conflicting and changing strands in our conception of who we are.’ bylinetimes.com/2022/08/11/the…

I was really pleased to have the chance to review 'Migrant City' by Panikos Panayi for Reviews in History Institute of Historical Research. I loved the way the book captured both the collective importance of migrants in the making of London and their individual experience. reviews.history.ac.uk/review/2461

I’ll be really pleased to see this in print! My chapter looks at postwar mass British migration to the Commonwealth/former empire and the subsidised schemes and the racial politics that enabled it.
