A blowhard who espouses negativity at every opportunity. No surprise that his party lost the election and this guy couldn’t even hold his seat. Rhetoric tends to lose its effect when the messaging never wavers from Trumpian-like talking points.

This guy is nothing but rhetoric, a do-nothing fear mongering right winger with little to show on a resume that goes back to the Stephen Harper days. Talk is cheap and it’s why the country not to mention the people in his own riding said an emphatic no to Poilievre’s messaging.

You’re trapped in a 20th century mindset. You seem to suggest climate change is a bunch of malarkey brought on by the ‘leftist’ zealots who want to upset your utopia of a 1960s Canada return. Ride that antiquated mindset as loud as Poilievre keeps issuing slogans to reinforce it

D.W.R. (@dritchie53) 's Twitter Profile Photo

You’re a Trump apologist so your attitudes regarding immigration are based on bias and right wing ideology. You fail to recognize that we’re all descended from immigrants but I guess your mindset is discriminatory immigration.

But as the election showed, a majority saw an angry Pierre Poilievre rant and rave about everything Canadian, ran on a campaign of negativity without anything but slogans, attacked the media, and now many of his disenchanted MPs are seeing him as a do-nothing rabid rouser.

Pure insanity. The guy is a bombastic slogan-projecting politician whose actual legislative accomplishments over two decades is noticeably meagre. Carney is not perfect but he brings a degree of competence to dealing with these troubled times while Poilievre exudes blustering.

So instead of expanding our trading options, we cower to the Orange Menace south of the border. Is that what you suggest? We don’t need kissing the ring of the demented fool who talks of Canada becoming the 51st state? Economics not politics needs to dictate our trade partners.

D.W.R. (@dritchie53) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Carney governs center right. If he was a Conservative all haters would love him. That's the human condition, programmed for tribalism. People love being "against." It's easy. Running an economy through global inflation, supply chain shocks and a decade of structural decay is not.

D.W.R. (@dritchie53) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I guess you’re kissing the wannabe King’s ring as well. What is it with Canada’s extreme right-wing surrendering to every whim that the Orange Blunder spews out of his outlandish mouth? If Pipsqueak Poilievre was PM, this country would be the 51st state as decreed by his majesty

D.W.R. (@dritchie53) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Pure nonsense!!! That difference is that Carney’s approach to dealing with Trump will be more even keel than full blown capitulation. I’m afraid Poilievre would sell the house to appease the man-child’s every whim. Poilievre is a career politician, more into style than substance.

His legislative record in 2 decades of being a MP is atrocious. He’s an angry one-trick pony who prefers to bark like a dog lamenting all that is wrong in Canadian society when his own point of reference is as a back-bencher in Parliament who has benefitted from the public purse.

D.W.R. (@dritchie53) 's Twitter Profile Photo

You’re a one trick pony. No sense of critical thinking, just because in your mind Carney is part of the ‘radical left’ and must be criticized at every turn regardless of what policy he might be advocating. It’s funny that people are calling Carney a ‘red’ conservative. Pragmatism

D.W.R. (@dritchie53) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Get off your hate train. Canada is not falling apart as you seem to imply. If anything, Carney’s governing posturing is leaning right of centre. Pragmatism. He’s dealing with an idiot south of the border. You can’t trust Trump. You got to be wary dealing with a nutty man-child.

D.W.R. (@dritchie53) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Hard to celebrate a country being bombarded to the hilt with perhaps thousands being caught in the onslaught by two countries arbitrarily attacking a sovereign nation. I get that it was a country run by religious zealots but risking a world war in Europe is hardly justification.

D.W.R. (@dritchie53) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Poilievre needs to soften up his approach. It’s one thing to espouse extreme right-wing ideology but being PM is more that just ranting and raving about how broken the country is and how bad the liberals are. And when a politician is anti mainstream media, how can we trust him?

D.W.R. (@dritchie53) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Anybody who can trust a word Trump spits out is foolhardy. Poilievre is in way over his head and this form of posturing will only incite more ridicule emanating from the American clowns echoing Trump’s flights of fancy.
