The Sighthill Circle. Completed at the Spring Equinox in 1979. The first stone circle to be created in the UK in 3000 years. Now relocated just 200 metres from original sight and now correctly aligned astronomically โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ. #Glasgow #sighthillglasgow #standingstones #megalith

Our own Annemarie Franz spotted an interesting parallel between this stone from Burghead, held at National Museums Scotland, and the Govan Warrior. Note the pointed beard, long hair, and most importantly, small, round shield held on shoulder straps on the left side of the body.
