It is with bittersweetness that I announce that I am no longer with the Illinois Association of School Boards. I have decided to move forward with the next chapter of my life. It was a pleasure overseeing our field and equity services. Now, on to my NEXT!

I absolutely enjoyed speaking as both an opening speaker and breakout session speaker at the Illinois New Teacher Collaborative conference. I spoke on servant leadership and women in leadership. As a former teacher I understand the need to be refueled and inspired. Teachers rock!

Happy Juneteenth! It’s important to not only feel free but to actually be free. As we recognize Freedom Day, let’s self-reflect on what it means to be free, and what we need to be free from. Break free from thoughts and actions that hold others and even ourselves back!

I recently spoke at the Illinois Chamber of Commerce’s annual Women in Business Conference. I participated on a panel discussing what we would tell our younger selves and advice we’d give to others. As women we have many obstacles but together in SISTERHOOD we can achieve more.
