We mourn the loss of Canadian filmmaker @HarryGulkin, a true original. Harry’s love of Montreal was visible when he brought Ted Allen’s #liesmyfathertoldme to the screen in 1975. He was a kind and special individual who fostered creativity on all levels. He will be deeply missed.

Polish-born German Jewish film producer #ArturBrauner passed away at age 100. He was a producer of powerful films about the Shoah like “The Garden of the Finzi-Continis, “Europa, Europa,” “Babij Jar” and “The White Rose.” His presence will be missed. May his memory be a blessing!

Mel Reisfield passed away today in Jerusalem. He was a mentor to me and so many Young Judaea. Mel cheated his imagined Viking funeral down the Delaware with many great years in Israel. He will be remembered as a master educator for thousands of Judaeans. His impact was immense.
