I’m still sucking atmosphere. I’m weird and I know it. Nothing to be ashamed of. 68 years old, devout nerd, proud father and husband. Weird! You’ll see!

Auntie Barnes It'll be a bear, it'll be a big, beautiful bear, a bear so big like no one's ever seen before. Everyone agrees, a beautiful bear. And teeth, like never before.. and claws so sharp like no one would believe. The bear will win .. by a lot!😇

I don’t know why exactly but this verse keeps popping into my head. Psa 146:3  Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. So there it is. Chew on it. Pray on it. Remember, pendulums swing.

If I could recommend books outside the Bible, there are two books that stand out. Both written by C.S.Lewis, these books are for thinking minds. “The Screwtape Letters” and “Mere Christianity” Both challenged my thinking and traditions.

Most people don't pay attention and realize that the first verse of the National Anthem ends with a question mark. It's probably fine that we only ever sing the first verse because as long as the Republic lives, it will always be a question whether it will continue. However, read

Isa 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. The Word is power!

I don’t normally do this but we just had breakfast at Grandma’s Restaurant on South Broadway in Albuquerque. Excellent grub! Great service. I probably won’t want to eat again until much later today. I’m full! Grandma’s biscuits and gravy. Good stuff, Maynard!

I’ve been asked why I didn’t try to be a SEAL. 1.) I’m a terrible swimmer! 2.) I loved shooting guns but I didn’t want to be a professional shooter. 3.) After 3 years watching the training, I didn’t want it bad enough. But I really dug doing recon!

Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. REMEMBER THAT!

Just watched 2 Marines and a SEAL discuss their training at the beginning. I’d been out for 15 years before they enlisted. Nothing much had changed. Decided I’d better sit down and grow a bunch more gray hair. Yesterday was 46 years ago.

Psa 146:9  The LORD watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.

Ever get to the point that nothing you say will change anything? It’s a common affliction. People don’t listen anyway. God listens. God knows. Psalm 139 is good.
