Our keynote, Prof Claire Hamshire University of Salford, highlights the complexity of quality in higher education. Considers that quality is not a destination but a temporal experience.

Delighted to have the opportunity to share this research. This project was funded by QQI and opens up a whole new space in the formative assessment of #WorkIntegratedLearning thanks to elva casey and John Meegan key researchers on the project too

This is an important finding arising from this collaborative research project across the Irish Universities Assoc. institutions. Upholding academic standards is identified as the most important purpose of external examining and requires a common understanding between institution and examiner.

This research by Prof Marie Clarke University College Dublin & Dr Deirdre Stritch found that a reduced #assessment load & a better spread of assessment were identified by students as important factors in potentially preventing academic misconduct. Report available here: ucd.ie/teaching/t4med…

Some really perceptive insights in this study led by Andrew G. Gibson, which points to the need for education providers to adopt holistic, multi-dimensional strategies for promoting academic integrity in which pedagogy remains a central consideration.
