Day 2 of the Lifelong Learning Conference has started with a range of inputs on the education programmes across EU countries.

“It must not be about adapting to employers needs but the needs of learners”

In her keynote address Marcella Milana discusses concerning challenges for adult learning which include the rise of fake news and anti-democratic trends.

“Fake news can affect how people feel and view the world.”

I spoke about how structural inequalities prevent an inclusive LLL culture for some groups. For example, the stigmatisation of working-class people and the exclusion of older people.
