The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has placed a large portion of Texas under an Enhanced and Moderate Risk for Severe Thunderstorms beginning midday Friday - Be Prepared and Stay Weather Aware! #txwx #txlege

Today @ChiefKidd, along with state health officials and state agency reps, briefed Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, and Speaker Dennis Bonnen, on the precautionary measures the state is taking to ensure the health and safety of all Texans in response to #coronavirus.

We are proud of our #TXEMTF Infectious Disease Response Unit's (IDRU) physicians, nurses, & paramedics. The IDRU is currently the sole provider of medical care & transport for confirmed #COVID19 patients in Texas. Their training and dedication make Texas a safer place for all.

This morning TDEM @ChiefKidd joined Texas DSHS Commissioner Dr. Hellerstedt at the Texas Capitol to update Members of the Texas Legislature and their staff on Texas' #Coronavirus #Preparedness efforts. #txlege

Today Chief Nim Kidd joined Greg Abbott as he issued a state disaster declaration in response to the #coronavirus. Texas Division of Emergency Management continues to work with Texas DSHS and all state agencies to coordinate the state’s efforts to support local governments and protect the health of Texans.
