My favorite personal project I did this year. Crafting a miniature diorama of Guillermo del Toro's Guillermo del Toro Pinocchio inside a guitar.

Day 1. My goal is to post one image a day for what's left of 2023. Let's see if I can be consistent!... 1/72 custom model. Terrain was made out of clay and shot using focus stacking technique.

Day 2. 3D printed pieces in resin, air brush painted, terrain made out of clay and plaster, mounted and blended over solid wood. Practical lights. Studio shot with a 100mm Laowa macro lens. 2 lights setup.

Day 3. Mixing real human scale with scaled models and scene. Goal is to match angle, lighting and scale equivalent. Making some practical effects.

Day 4. Dinos and Donuts. I created this idyllic world (because who doesn't like dinosaurs and donuts!?) for @affinitybyserif as part of their creative sessions. This was shot with a 24mm TS. Did the donuts out of foam and enhanced dinos with Affinity Photo.

Day 5. Patinece. Created this set and photo while the lockdown in pandemia times. Did little chair out of balsa wood and room with insulating foam and plaster. Shot with a 24mm TS lens. 2 lights setup.

It was my pleasure!!!

Day.6 How I do water effects?... well, If it's not an exhibition diorama and just for camera, I use real water, simple! Add some smoke to create depth and ambient. Also helps to softening the light. Shot with a 100mm macro lens. 2 lights setup.

Day.7 Back in the days of lockdown, did a little Call of Duty fan-art project. Still huge fan of this franchise.

Day.8 Inner Journey. Created this one customizing a 1/18 scale minibus. Using wheat flour as snow and lighting the scene with a small led flashlight, doing long exposure photography and light painting.

GM!... I have been "out" working on these little fellas. They are not 3D. These are scratch-build physical models. Stop motion and digital animation. Here I present you... "Banks", He is a little shaky from all those years of rattling cans.
