A year ago I called an ambulance as I was poorly. The paramedic was my former student who needed her functional skills English in order to become a paramedic. She was thanking me for helping her get through her qualification. Sureal moment as I thanked her for helping me .

After hearing mum was waiting over 3 hrs for an ambulance I took her in. We waited 4 hrs in total to be seen and assessed. I have the utmost respect for the NHS who are working in difficult circumstances.

My friend has family that have lost everything due to the earthquake. Food and blankets are getting through but they need funds to furnish containers which are being provided. I am helping them fundraise on Sunday. Everybody is welcome to come and share tea and cake.
