Today, we teamed up with the DWP, West Midlands Combined Authority , and the formidable Dream Chaser Youth Club 💫 to run a Community Jobs Fair. We want employers, training providers, and communities to come together to help people into work. Thanks to Richard Parker for your support!

I want to get people in this community into work. Youth employment is my biggest priority as Mayor. Yesterday I visited Dream Chaser Youth Club 💫 in Small Heath, Birmingham to see how they are helping people into jobs.

This is why I do outreach for Poetry, these young Queens had their first ever exhibition, I had the honour of running poetry workshops with them and look at what they created🥺 Gutted I couldnt come to the exhibition, but so so proud❤️ Dream Chaser Youth Club 💫

We even had the pleasure of an interactive poetry workshop with award winning poet Ayan Aden :) ! We used our own experiences and cultures to create some wonderful poems.

PCC Simon Foster attended a youth awareness workshop with Uplift Community and Dream Chasers. It was all about community engagement with the police and young people and improving trust and confidence and understanding. The PCC spoke at the event and there was also a Q&A.
