As Dr Matshidiso Moeti ends her term as Regional Director for WHO African Region, the WHO Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, today appointed Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu as Acting Regional Director. A new Regional Director for Africa will be elected in May.
