Emotions should be our motivation for actions, not our methods. Politics is primarily a tool for solving social, collective issues. It is a method, and shouldn’t be a motivation

As someone who's father died in his 30s, I feel for Charlie Kirk's children and wife. May we all try to do more to encourage the impassioned but peaceful discussion of policies and the political means of enacting them.

For those in Utah who feel this way, I suggest attending caucus next year for the party you are closest to. There you can define what it means to be Rep or Dem for your own precinct. If we take care of what we can influence (i.e. our own precincts), the rest will be taken care of

Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Utah Caucus Day AKA March 17th. As the legislative season wraps up, Utah’s political calendar is picking up. Caucus Night marks the first major step in the state’s election cycle, often described as the first election day of the year. It’s a chance

Politics isn’t a sport. Sports are games with clear rules and winners/losers. Politics is a balancing act of trade-offs in collective action. We should leave team mentality to sports and recognize electoral and governmental politics as the realm of heuristics and trade-offs.
