This was a fun interview to do about a potential meteorite impact crater in Quebec that I hope to visit next year with some French colleagues to confirm 😀 Impact Earth #impactearth cbc.ca/news/canada/mo…

This is a pretty amazing achievement! Come on Canada - there are still 8 coal-fired power stations. Time to close them for good.

Meanwhile in 🇨🇦 the leaders of the Official Opposition and many of the provinces want to scrap most of our current policies to tackle #ClimateChange - when in fact we need to be doing much, much MORE. Sigh.... 🤬 #ClimateAction

While I didn't get a pilot's license like Joshua Kutryk, spending my teenage years in the 🇬🇧 Air Cadets RAF Air Cadets and doing a lot of outdoor leadership and survival activities also taught me to push myself and take on challenges that have helped me get to where I am today.

Great to see that samples from an expedition I led to Axel Heiberg Island in 2017 are still producing cool science several years later!

Sad to hear of the passing of Jack Zussman. I still have - and use - my copy of “An Introduction to Rock-Forming Minerals” that I got in my first year of #geology at Earth & Environmental Science, St Andrews

This is almost unbelievable - if it were not based on scientific data - August 2024 is the 15th month in a row of record-breaking monthly temperatures #ClimateActionNow
