It appears, to some extent, social media is producing an anti intellectual climate, driven by individual popup video media posts, whose commentaries don't appear to be connected to any real knowledge of history and its relationship to African people. Hopefully this will fade.

Another interesting observation is that some of the new forces of social media activism spend a lot of time attacking African people they believe are not properly representing African people. You hardly observe them attacking the system of white supremacy and their reps.

Should be clear by now that we don't ascribe to the idea of #ADOS as a way of describing ourselves. We continue to point out, we have conceptual, ideological, theoretical, philosophical and historical differences with your hashtag ADOS. Plainly stated: WE ARE AN AFRICAN PEOPLE!
