Let’s hear it for #ForeverCoog Jesus Esparza for winning Beginning Teacher of the Year at DeAnda HISD. Esparza earned a B.S. in teaching in 2022. “I want to be that teacher that really gets to know their students and build relationships with them.”


Kudos to Fathima Noordeen! She won Rookie Teacher of the Year from Malala Elementary in Fort Bend ISD. Noordeen earned a B.S. in teaching and learning in 2022. “I have always enjoyed helping others, and just seeing the ‘ah-ha’ moment on my students’ faces is so rewarding.”


Congrats to #ForeverCoog Aleida Gonzalez for winning New Teacher of the Year at Jessup Elementary in Pasadena ISD. Gonzalez earned a B.S. in teaching and learning in 2022. “My goal was to be that person that went above and beyond for my students.”


The awards just keep on coming! #ForeverCoog Elizabeth Maldonado won New Teacher of the Year at Morales Elementary in Pasadena ISD. She earned a B.S. in teaching in 2022. “This journey has just begun for me, and I plan to continue growing as an educator.”

BlackOnBothSides That's the bottom line. Being prepared to teach is professionalism and an act of love. Some curricula come with plans ready-made, and teachers adapt them. Either way, we can't talk about loving children but not be ready to teach them when the bell rings.
