For the day that’s in it.đŸ§µ The October public holiday was Ireland’s 8th (of 10 today) public holiday to be introduced. In Feb 1977 the then Minister for Labour, Michael O’Leary, went on a solo-run announcing the last Monday in October would be a new public holiday.
