Drew listening to the BAD pod. I want to add a point: it seems now more than in the past players r foregoing 'bridge contracts.' Betts, Bryant, Heyward, Upton, Harper, Machado, Stroman, Sanchez, Osuna, Hosmer, Lindor, Schoop, ect. All these guys r going to b hitting FA in
their mid 20s which is great for them cuz they will get paid for their 'prime' years (Upton, Heyward, Hosmer). If I was an owner I'd b reading the tea leaves, saving my $ this offseason and waiting till 2019, 2020, and 2021 when all these young talents r available and giving them
the big $. Maybe i'm wrong but that's my theory. I think baseball would benefit greatly from implementing a $100m salary floor for franchises. If your team sucks, you should lose money.
