Doctors who support bad governance shock me the most. Because every single day, your role makes you see in real time how bad governance kills and destroys citizens.

I got featured as a role model in last week’s edition of The BMJ. I’m thankful to my loving community for putting in the work to promote health.

I touched on how an outdated “inherited” law scuttled progress in the mental health space in Gh 🇬🇭 for over 60 yrs. Attempted suicides still remain criminal elsewhere. More work to do. Perhaps we need to re-examine our laws. #WorldMentalHealthDay

“Why go crickets after working with someone to do/get something big? Shouldn’t one be wondering what more great and noble things they can achieve together? Perhaps the thrill of a monumental success is all there is to deaden a relationship, or well, maybe it’s simply contentment”

Who will determine what an emergency is? Does it mean that a dr would have to turn away a pt they consider non-emergent? How does this weave into comprehensive and interdisciplinary healthcare? What if the emergency needs a psych/neuro/derm consult too? Does my head in! 🤯

One thing that stuns me is how people with so much authority and knowledge in a field express how they can’t solve a common problem in that field. It worried me so much in medical school that I stopped attending medical conferences. This weekend was a sore reminder. 🤨
