A heartbreaking finish. We fall on a walk-off in the 9th, but this team gave everything to this city. From Opening Night to the final pitch, they carried Las Vegas with pride. To our fans. your energy, passion, and loyalty fueled us every step of the way. This season was for

We underestimate simple malware infections way too much No 0-day, no exploited VPN, no exposed RDP Just social engineering -> backdoor -> game over The unsexy stuff is still winning if not monitored or detected properly

Seeing some good posts about reverse engineering and AI lately on here, so reposting some of the research I performed using skills with OAI Codex to do initial static analysis on live malware. Skills repo linked in blog as well joshuamckiddy.com/blog/ai-skills

Codex is cracked. I’ve been getting great (and fast) results for static analysis via some additional skills I wrote, and the code output for my dev project has been pretty solid.

I wrote up some skills for both Claude and Codex for performing reverse engineering tasks and did some testing to see how each one performed against the same malware sample Both have advantages/disadvantages and the results are interesting in terms of having these types of

I love these tests. I did a similar Claude vs Codex test regarding some reverse engineering automation: joshuamckiddy.com/blog/codex-vs-… Initial run, Claude had a tiny edge, but I wonder if I ran that same exact test today if Codex would win out.

Th vast majority of CISOs do not work at Google-sized companies, and will not have to worry about 0days There’s a disconnect between the Mythos discourse, and what actually happens at most orgs: Still can’t identify assets and IPs, biggest threat is still phishing, lack of
