The floods, which have affected over 190,000 people with over 30,000 households displaced of over 151, 000 people. Over 90 are missing & at least 170 have lost their lives. More efforts to find the missing and map risky areas have been initiated by government

Dr A Diallo, while handing over 940 tablets to MOH said: 'Data is the cornerstone for informing decision- making & hence the need for quality data.' The tablets have features that IT admins can remotely track, manage & send messages to.

He noted Kenya had achieved over 80% of target populations for immunization but called on MOH to aim for the unreached & improve on vaccines like HPV for adolescent girls & measles rubella whose reach is below 80%. The unreached include urban poor, displaced & migrant persons.

WHO Kenya today handed over 940 tablets to the Ministry of Health, an effort to support MOH's digitalization goal & to manage data in the immunization schedule. Handing over the tablets, WHO Repr A Diallo said the gadgets will help to improve data quality & make it verifiable.

World Health Organization (WHO) Rep Dr A Diallo at TB Day called for urgent collective & sustained action to combat the TB epidemic noting that Kenya is among 30 high TB/HIV burden countries & ranked 4th in Africa with an estimate 128,000 cases & 17,000 deaths in 2022. 31 % of cases were missed.
