BBC documentary identifies that Kyle assaulted a member of staff while they were detained, that can lead to a permanent detention order? My response is that the environments are not designed to support #autistic people.

#Restraint and #Seclusion are not therapeutic, they retraumatise the already traumatised and that includes staff as well. People need #lowarousal environments with well paid and trained staff and of course control over their lives.

People who are #autistic need people to empathise and understand their needs using stress based frameworks, simply put predictability, control, fun and of course not being surrounded by other stressed people. Studio III

@SeanPogson It would certainly support the idea that environmental provision (i.e. adaptation of learning environment) is special educational provision (a point I have always argued for, and typically the Tribunal accepts)

Why is parity of the person's voice or parent/carer voice impossible to achieve? NHSEs inpatient Camhs taskforce decided not to look at it despite a request from the Parent Council to do so. So there's evidence right there that it's needed!!!
