Making a single item is great, a pair can be challenging, but 10 of them..! And in case you’re wondering what they are, they’re Ash leg risers, all exactly 2.5” high for a sofa and an arm chair to assist a mature lady who’s finding it hard sitting down and getting back up again.

By special request, an Artist friend of mine wanted a new paint brush pot/holder. Made from Olive Ash, 4”x2.5” finished with Carnauba wax.

And then there were two..! 6”x3” Bristol Cherry Goblets. Both finished with vegetable oil, but one on the right has had 3 coats.

Today’s work in progress 6.5” x 3.25” Cherry bowl totally unfinished…

Here’s Gerald the Giraffe, ~18” tall, 8” long & 4” wide, made from 10 separately turned pieces of Pine. Finished with Yellow spirit stain and pyrographed spots, with hand carved eyes and mouth; plus soft brown leather ears. Just shows how many shapes are possible on a lathe..!

Just Brilliant, out for afternoon tea & find this on our table!
