It's been a long time coming - our first #walkingfootball session back since the start of Covid. Was great to see 25 or so players make it, including a few first timers to the group. Sessions now run every Thursday in our new, earlier 6-7pm slot.

Tonight's session was a nice reminder of why #walkingfootball is so important to people: we had a player back after a double knee replacement; a GK celebrating his 82nd bday; an 86-year-old back from an op to watch and support the guys; and 29 players in total all on great form!

Our final #walkingfootball session at HSBC Sports & Social in Dore, our fantastic home since 2016. We will miss this place now that Sheffield United have bought the facility. An enforced departure for pastures new for Dore Walking Football...

We're pleased to share that Dore Walking Football is now part of Porter FC. We've been an independent #walkingfootball group since 2016, but we're now proud to join the Porter FC family, one of Sheffield's largest grassroots football clubs, with 30 teams and 400+ players.

Four teams and 26 players out in -2c for our first Porter FC #walkingfootball session of the new year. It was great to be back after a short festive break!
