After 9 years working on our project The START Programme the last few weeks with #sparkignite22 have given us a whole new perspective on how to progress the project in a new exciting direction. Looking forward to final stage now but already feel like we have gained so much!

Congratulations to Sinead Stoneman and Dr. Sarah Moran from Cork University Hospitals who took first prize at last night’s Cork Regional final for the Spark Ignite competition 2022 with their project ‘Your Kidney Health Explained’ targeting better management of patients with kidney disease 👏👏

Finally, congratulation to Mary Buckley and her impressive team from University Hospital Kerry who won third place and €2,000 in funding to apply to their idea for managing patients at risk of developing delirium in the ED. A great show of team support on this project 💪💪

A very deserving 2nd place in last night’s Cork Regional Final went to Norrie.W. from St. Mary’s Health Centre in Thurles. Noreen’s project introduces patient held record to facilitate and optimise the Multi-disciplinary management of wounds. Congratulations Noreen! 👏👏
