Just noticed the ship in Encanto that's about to hit an iceberg in Surface Pressure — the one Luisa tries to protect from crashing — is named Madrigal and I'm just over here dying all over again at feeling so seen 😭 ...in case you're wondering how my Saturday is going.

In addition to a compelling reason to leave, there HAS to be a viable alternative option. Commitment to a community can be a pull factor to bring people to a new platform, but also a barrier if there isn't critical mass on the new platform, making the cost of leaving too high.

I forgot I'm on Mastodon already😅 I wasn't planning to hop over there unless inertia moved me but I got notified I have a new follower so that's funny and cool. Anyway if you find me there know I'm not really there regularly or anything but all good, yay for the network effect!
