Please join tonight at 8pm we really want to hear from #studentnurses about their experience in #carehome WeStudentNurses 💙
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 I'm still here after 20yrs because I want to be, because I love my job but also because I still think we can do better. Anyone considering working in social care, go for it #mythbuster you will not be deskilled!
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 Aim is to change perspectives of care home nursing at the very beginning of nursing careers. Would be an ideal to have a strong workforce for the future #carehomes Still wondering if we need the educators to get in there for some shadowing? #availableforwork
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 From CA to clinical nurse specialist, there is progression in care homes. Have met some of the most knowledgeable nurses and carers I’ve ever had the privilege of working with and now have the chance to influence the next generation. Wouldn’t swap it for the world #carehomes
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 Relationships! It can't be said enough #carehomes are built on relationships. Relationships with staff, residents, relatives and communities. We grow and learn from each other. We support each other. There's no other job like care home #nursing.
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 Yes 🙌 relationships #carehomes the team is all inclusive ‘we are family’ 🎶🎵🎹
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 My experience as a care home nurse has been so rewarding. Although my career has taken a different direction, I would recommend this career path and feel passionate about how invaluable social care workers and nurses are within this environment.
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 I love working in the #carehome sector as the most important word in the title is home, “the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household.” A good team including residents, relatives & staff is like family
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 Considering I am usually the 'visitor', the teams and individuals I have met over the years have been committed to their residents and each other. Always looking for ways to support students and develop and encourage their staff.
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 Everyone is there with the same aim… for residents to have the most fulfilling life possible (from when they move in to when they unfortunately leave us). And the shared sense of achievement from the smallest thing makes every single day mean something. #carehomes
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 I think team is the word that stands out, A good team all wanting the best for the residents and working together to achieve this.
Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 I love the relationships that I’ve built up with my care homes. I have the utmost respect for all the teams I work with #carehomes#
Really looking forward to today's sessions! Dr Jane E Douglas RN QN 💙💚 Scottish Social Care Nursing Network🏴 NHS Lanarkshire PEF/CHEF Team @nhs @NHSGGCPEFs
