Earthworms hard at work! I'm guessing 4 per square foot or around 175,000 per acre. That's why I dont need to do any tillage! #covercrops #notillage #diversity

Surreal is only way to describe meeting and hosting Ray Archuleta and Tony Peirick for the #covercrop field day at the farm tomorrow. We are standing at Aldo Leopold's birthhome overlooking the Mississippi River.

Just had truck and trailer stolen from Iona Rd. Black F250 and Eby trailer. Bodmin Seedstock on trailer. Black Dodge pickup dropped the little prick off that stole it.

Ramon needs a T-Shirt “It can be done” 1 would realize the significance if you saw the region, this is the culmination of surrounding him self with a great team around him, and the right tools look forward to following along again this season,

Caught up with my “erosion expert” University of Denver advisor - he said, “wind erosion is insidious. Water erosion results in significant features like gullies that draw attention”. Please don’t let wind erosion effects fade from your memory just because you don’t have to fix a gully.

What would possess a raccoon to climb 50’ straight up to the top of a grain leg ? It would’ve had to climb the ladder which I can barely climb up ... I think I’ll wait him out

I've been anxiously awaiting this day since last September when the rye was planted. I'd say this counts as #farmweird in our neighborhood. #plant21 #plantinggreen #soilhealth

How many folks get excited when the DNR Wants to scout your creek? I guess I do😎 In our quest with Multi-cropping Iowa we’re looking for verification our system is working, and something that can be used a watershed scale… Trout all the way up up our stream should be an indicator 🤷🏼‍♂️
