Today, the Mail published an 8-page tactical voting guide intended to prevent a Labour landslide. But they don't seem to have realised that it's also a perfect guide to which party to vote for to rid us of the Tories. With pretty graphs, and everything. Risks backfiring badly.

If you know someone who is undecided about who they should vote for on Thursday, tell them this: Change, with a Labour government, will only happen if you vote for it.

Hello, Sarah here from Potted History - I'm hella nervous about making this post, but here goes. I've unfortunately been diagnosed with breast cancer, which, as you can imagine, is a shock. Today, I’m asking for your support to continue my work creating museum-quality replicas.

Did you know that Ebenezer Scrooge was a real person and his grave can be seen in the grounds of St Chad's in Shrewsbury? Well he wasn't real, this is a prop from the 1984 TV series which was too much trouble to move after filming was completed 🤷🏻

Lovely visit to St Chad's Church #Shrewsbury today as organ practice was in full swing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 St Chad's is a fantastic example of Georgian church architecture, with innovative use of cast iron columns as part of its design when opened in 1792, now Grade I listed by Historic England

A visit to Shrewsbury Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings this week. Great to see the conversation work by Historic England which has gone on to save the building. The cast-iron frame construction was revolutionary in 1797, and makes this building a precursor for all later steel-framed skyscrapers

The "Final, final, last, never to be repeated, sign up now, last chance extension" call for conference papers is the academic equivalent of your parents saying you if you don't stop fighting in the back seat of the car they will turn it around and no one will go on holiday 🧐

On site in #Cumbria for a few days on a very unforgiving sandy-gravel site, but some possible post-pads are coming up in the early morning sun. A nearby trench is producing a very large amount of iron-working slag including this furnace lining 🧐 #Archaeology

A nice write up of the #archaeological dig I'm helping my friend Mark Graham from Grampus Heritage with in #Cumbria. The archaeobotanical work has been an important part in identifying corn-drying activity in the area, with samples yeilding thousands of oat grains #archaeology

Great to see Newcastle City Council historic plaque I nominated to Jack London unveiled today with friends from the North East of England African and Caribbean Association. Jack was originally from British Guiana/Guyana and a Team GB silver and bronze winner at the 1928 Amsterdam #Olympics

Went for fish&chips with family in Newcastle. Surprised to see "Irish curry sauce" on the menu. We ordered to see what it was and my niece was baffled as to why it's called Irish curry, when "It's just normal curry", which I guess proves why it's called #Irish #curry sauce🧐🇮🇪

Witnessed shocking scenes today in #Tynemouth. Called into the English Heritage site of Tynemouth Priory and witnessed what looked like a riot. People openly carrying weapons like some sort of medieval scene, not a baron or justicar in sight 😓 #RiotsUK

The #medieval priory and castle at English Heritage #Tynemouth #NorthEast #England as seen from the North Shields-Amsterdam ferry. The site has been a defended settlement since at least the Iron Age, right up to the 1980s coast guard station visible on the right of the promontory
