Why do I speak up for oppressed peoples as a climate justice advocate? Because human rights is tied to climate action. I care about the wellbeing of people and planet. I want a world where people wake to the sound of bird song and not bombs. Inequalities fuel the climate crisis.

The climate crisis has always been political. We literally engage with political leaders to demand action. We advocate to pass legislation. And viewing certain people and parts of nature as disposable is what got us here in the first place.

My heart aches for the people of Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Balochistan, and all living under colonial violence and occupation peoples.
