現在がいつまでも続く保証はどこにもない。加えて日本社会は緩やかな斜陽に入ってから久しい。すぐにかつてのような成長路線への回帰は難しいだろう。そんな中では共依存と共負担の絆を強くするしかない。失業、収入の喪失は誰にでも起こり得る。また高齢者は、最初から不労の存在だったわけではない。
