Amazing just how cryptic the Covenham Reservoir Wryneck was most of the time, even though it was feeding in short grass by the side of a path. On the coast it was great to get our first Pink-footed Geese of the season, always a good way to kick off autumn/winter! RareBirdAlertUK

Watch a little Guillemot chick fledge at only 20 days old, still completely flightless, seeking the safety of the open sea with its dad. Filming this iconic behaviour was the highlight of my summer.
