January 22nd 1969, Billy Preston arrives at Apple Studios, where he helps The Beatles complete the Let It Be album. Preston gives them a musical jolt but more importantly provides a buffer for their infighting - George Harrison had quit the group 12 days earlier.

This was shared with me. Another cool moment to highlight after yesterday’s game. Caitlin Clark took the time to meet with Landon after the game. He gave her a bracelet. The two hugged and took a picture together. LandOn A Cure! TBCD Gene

I remember people saying how disappointed they were when Tunnel of Love was released, fall of '87. They were expecting Born in the USA part II. Only it wasn't. While the prod is "of its time", in hindsight, the LP's not only a very personal, reflective work, it's one of his best.

Ella Fitzgerald was a big baseball fan. "The Queen of Jazz" had a huge collection of autographed baseballs, including signatures from the Giants, Dodgers & from MLB All-Star Game`s. Her collection is housed at the Smithsonian! With Willie Mays

Ted Turner took over as Mgr. for one night after Braves lost 16 consecutive games, `77 NL President Chub Feeney, supported by Commissioner Bowie Kuhn, gave him the thumb. Anyone who owned stock in a team was forbidden to manage it, they told him. "The Mouth of the South"
