Water has risen a little on Ridge Road, please don’t go around the signs and please don’t drive through moving water.

Per Dodge County Emergency Management, the Platte River channels have opened in the ice jam south of Fremont. Flood waters are receding back into river. Big Island, S. Ridge Road, and Ridgeland Ave remain closed.

A heavy precipitation event is expected from Saturday through Monday. The forecast has trended warmer, so much of the precipitation will fall as rain. The best chance for accumulating snow is over northeast Nebraska.

.Omaha Police Dept officer left in critical but stable condition after being shot at Westroads Mall Friday afternoon while attempting to apprehend a shoplifting suspect. The suspect led Nebraska State Patrol on high speed pursuit before being taken into custody near Lincoln.

**Highway 79 just north of North Bend is water covered and closed at this time** **Highway 30 at County Road 19 has some water in the eastbound lanes and is open at this time** Be aware of rapidly changing road conditions, turn around don't drown. Check 511 before heading out.

Per NE Emergency Management FLOOD ADVISORY IS CANCELLED FOR SOUTHWESTERN DODGE, NORTHWESTERN SAUNDERS AND SOUTHEASTERN COLFAX COUNTIES... The Platte River will be rising but is expected to remain below flood stage. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat.
