Tonight at dinner the 6yo tells us she had the best day at school. “I met a REAL scientist!” So yeah…..I can’t help but feel a little upset, sitting over here like chopped liver 🤦🏼‍♀️

Looking at my timeline it must be award season. To all those faculty, post-docs, and students who haven’t won, congratulations and thank you! Institutions sometimes forget that the majority of teaching, service and community building is done by the “support” not “headline” acts!
