Thoughts on #COVID19 after a busy telehealth shift: 1. Vast majority of folks very low risk, mostly want to know if they need to change their behavior. The answer is YES. We will all have to change our habits- if we haven't already- to mitigate spread of disease. 1/x thread

#COVIDー19 is like if it was Flu season and there was no Flu vaccine. Elderly/immunocompromised are at a higher risk for serious complications and we should all practice good hygiene and keep nonessential contact with these groups at a minimum. Thoughts? #medtwitter

Posted this on Instagram earlier & it blew up, so I decided to post it here too. I figured that I have a unique voice in this. I am an ER resident with a graduate degree in Public Health & I am living with a solid organ transplant... this situation is getting out of hand.

Racism is a social determinant of health, and it is our job as emergency medicine physicians-in-training to combat this. We are EMRA. We stand in unity, unapologetically against racism. Read a message from EMRA President Hannah R. Hughes, MD, MBA (she/her) 👉bit.ly/EMRA-Unity

MS3 giving me feedback after giving her direct, constructive feedback... “Thanks for remembering my name and making me feel like I’m part of the team.” So, REMEMBER THE DAMN NAMES OF MEDICAL STUDENTS! WRITE IT ON A PIECE OF PAPER! They’re not all “the medical student”. Sheesh.

Words matter. In the medical setting, *resident*, *residency*, *fellow*, and *fellowship* belong to physicians ONLY. ⬇️📃 Every EM physician, resident, & student should be paying attention to the battle on scope of practice. 🥼 That’s the tweet. emra.org/be-involved/be…

The Eagles were playing a rookie quarterback making his fourth NFL start. And they want people to believe it was a good time to get some playing time for Nate Sudfeld?
