Way to go Manitoba. Longitudinal family medicine is the critical backbone of our system. Look forward to reading the details of what MB is doing. PS NL Medical Assoc. this is way better branding and promotion than what we are doing with our model
HIP FRACTURE DEADLIER THAN CANCER for elderly. A new 🇨🇦 study finds only 1/3 of men & 1/2 of women age>=65 still alive 5 years after a hip fracture. In contrast, 5 year cancer survival higher. But we don’t focus on fracture prevention & nutrition enough. theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…
Imploring NL Health Services and Government of Newfoundland & Labrador to reinstate hospital mask mandates as we enter another sars covid wave.
This is how to invest in primary care- stabilize family medicine by valuing the work of family physicians. Premier of NL John Hogan Health and Community Services NL Time to show the same leadership.
While other provinces make moves to stabilize FM, Government of Newfoundland & Labrador is going to arbitration with its MD's. Has GovNL just decided that a phone call from a doctor anywhere but NL is the best we can do to provide primary care to our citizens? They have lost the plot.
Thanks to Lisa Cannada and MUN ortho Faculty of Medicine for arranging an excellent talk on the mangled extremity and for including us community surgeons!
